Adios USA- Hola Guatemala!!

yes, it's true. i'm going to be in guatemala for the summer! 3 months of being emersed in a totally new and exciting environment. for 2 months i'll be living in Guatemala City with a family and taking classes there. For the last month i'll be staying in a village with a family and doing a work project.

wow. hard to believe. i can't wait to see what amazing lessons i'm going to learn. i can already tell that God is going to stretch me a lot. it'll be a challenge that's for sure. while i'm extatic about the opportunity, i have some anxiety about it as well. new language, new culture, new everything! plus i've never been away from home for that long. not to mention that a fair skined, red haired American isn't exactly going to blend in. i have a feeling that i'm going to reach a new level of trust and faith because that's all i'm going to have to lean on at times. i would appreciate your prayers as i prepare for this trip of a lifetime.
